Who We Are

Located in Hudson, Wisconsin, our firm has been providing legal services to clients throughout Western Wisconsin for more than 65 years.

Attorney Mark J. Gherty and Attorney Lindsey S.M. Minser carry on the Gherty tradition of serving Western Wisconsin with a high level of professionalism and integrity. Mark J. Gherty is assisted by Paralegal Kathy Schollmeier, who has worked at Gherty and Gherty, S.C. as a Litigation Paralegal since 1987. Lindsey S.M. Minser is assisted by Paralegal Theresa Gilbert, who has worked with family law clients at Gherty and Gherty, S.C. since 2005, and Paralegal Jessica Woehrle, who began working with the Gherty and Gherty, S.C. family law team in 2013.

Attorney Mark Gherty has achieved AV Distinguished* ratings from Martindale-Hubbell and was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers from 2006 - 2009 and 2011 - 2015. He is also rated as "superb" on AVVO. Mark is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mark Gherty started practicing law with his brother Terry, in 1980. Mark was drawn to the profession as a response to the less fortunate. "The idea of advocating for people that cannot represent themselves drew me." Mark has used his knowledge and skill in representing clients regarding Criminal, OWI, Drug and Traffic cases, as well as Civil Litigation. One of his most publicized cases was successfully representing the Johnston family in 1997 in seeking a civil finding that their son-in-law, James Neumann, had murdered their daughter, Jane Neumann. Mark Gherty is assisted by Paralegal, Kathy Schollmeier who has worked at Gherty and Gherty, S.C. as a Litigation Paralegal since 1987.

Attorney Lindsey S.M. Minser joined the firm in 2016 to take over Sue Gherty's family law practice. She is assisted by Paralegal Theresa Gilbert who began working with family law clients at Gherty and Gherty, S.C. in 2005 and Paralegal Jessica Woehrle who began assisting with family law cases in 2013. The family law team works together to help clients understand all aspects of their case, during a very difficult time in their life.
