Attorney Sue Gherty is a Trial Attorney and actively practices family law.

The majority of her practice focuses on family law issues. She has handled numerous contested custody and child support cases as well as maintenance claims and complicated property division issues.

Sue Gherty takes pride in thoroughly educating her clients about the entire divorce process. Her Family Law Team prepares clients for every phase of the legal proceedings.

Attorney Gherty devotes a portion of her practice to appellate work, which involves writing briefs and petitions for the Third District Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Many of her cases are precedent setting and are referred to frequently as case law arguments. Attorney Gherty has assisted in the development of law in the area of third party custodian's visitation and custody rights as well as conflicts of law in insurance cases.

Since 1996 Attorney Gherty has also served as the part-time Municipal Judge for the City of Hudson. She is continually seeking to implement new programs and policies into that court system. As A municipal judge, Sue has attended the Judicial College in Reno, Nevada and has participated as an instructor at the Municipal Judge Education Seminars.
