Terrence M. Gherty, Juris Doctor, 1974. University of South Dakota Law School, 1974. Designated a Super Lawyer in Wisconsin Super Lawyers Magazine and Milwaukee Magazine (November 2005). Martindale Hubbell A® rating. Gherty’s courtroom arguments are published in Stein Closing Arguments “Specimens of Eloquence.” He has been listed in the Register of Preeminent Attorneys. He has taught other lawyers lawyering skills at professional seminars. Since 1992 he has made “Demonstration of a Civil Trial” presentations on a regular basis at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Treasurer of State Bar of Wisconsin 1997-1999. Commission on Legal Education, State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors (1988-1992, 1997-1998), Chair of the Committee on Specialization and Advertising (1990-1997). He served on numerous State Bar committees including Professionalism Committee, Executive Committee and Finance Committee. He served as District Eight Fee Arbitration Chair. He currently serves as Co-chair for the District Committee of Office of Lawyer Regulation. State Bar of Wisconsin Litigation Section Board of Directors (1998-2001). He is Board Certified by National Board of Trial Advocacy. Gherty is most proud of his wife, Sue and his brother, Mark.
